l’Approche is holding its summer exhibition by bringing together a collection of works, some of which have already been seen within our walls, and others which are being seen for the first time.
It’s not a themed exhibition. There’s no critical or literary subject matter or pretext. The work, according to this approach, has its temporal and intelligible part, the one traditionally put forward by curatorial projects, but also, let us underline it this time, its timeless part, neither accessible nor intelligible, autonomous in the relationship it establishes with history, the world, the viewers, the other works, and naturally dispensing with mediation and discourse in an inevitably clumsy mastery of its visibility.
