After my graduation at Middlesex University, I moved to Paris in order to be a full time painter, the city was then cheaper and I wouldn’t have to take all the silly jobs I needed in order to survive in London. I had left the city nearly ten years ago and didn’t know much about it and I was especially not aware that everybody in the Parisian art world absolutely hated painting. It was such a shock. Anyway, I made figurative painting, which was considerate then the lowest form of art.
